Synopsis

Former military captain, John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), is inexplicably transported to the area of Barsoom on Mars, where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in an epic conflict between the planet's inhabitants and, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe), and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his faith in humanity when he realizes that the lives of Barsoom and its people lies in his own hands.

Based on the classic sci-fi novel "A Princess of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
